Traffic in Dongguan
One of the things I do not miss about China, is the traffic and particularly crossing streets as a pedestrian!I often wrote in this blog, while I was in China, that riding and crossing roads was always a unique experience. Pedestrians have NO right of way, and the rules for right-of-way for cars is more than a little vague to a Westerner. There are few if any STOP signs..... not that they would be observed anyway! One only observes that the biggest and/or bravest gets the right-of-way.
Seeing this video so reminds me of that fact. Watch the black van on the right try to get across the intersection, and watch the bicycles and pedestrians crossing the road. All just have to learn some good timing to cross along with a lot of bravado!
