6-6-06 = Lucky Day
While so many people were fretting about yesterday being 6-6-06, they were happy here in China. Six sounds like luck in Chinese, and so they considered the date to be lucky.In Malaysia, I read where hundreds of Chinese jumped at the chance to tie the knot on this lucky date. A lot of marriages were preformed. (See FoxNews.com: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,198346,00.html) Besides it is a popular year for weddings anyway. All over China it was being referred to as a lucky day. You didn’t hear all the doomsday predictions and concerns expressed elsewhere.
Isn’t it amazing how things get looked at in a different way from one place to another? And we did survive the day….. Didn’t we?
