Fogging Glasses

I thought I knew humidity. My sister, Anna lives in Colorado, and complains vehemently about how bad the humidity is in North Carolina anytime she returns home to visit. Well, she would never make it here.

I just got out of a car from visiting a vendor across town, and my glasses fogged up so bad, that I almost tripped and fell in one of the many Koi ponds around here. We get fish from those ponds for lunch. I don’t think I want to swim in them.

But it takes at least five minutes for the fog to clear on my glasses whenever I go from the air conditioning of a car or from a cold room.

And cold rooms! I just saw that the Japanese are trying to go more casual so they can use less air conditioning. They don’t worry about that here. Conservation of electricity is important, but only to a point. They immediately turn off lights and A/C anytime you leave a room. But as soon as you walk back in…… crank it up! And I do mean crank it up. You feel like you need a sweater as soon as you walk in. And then when you walk out the air hits you and glasses fog!! This is humidity!!
